2021 CONCERT SEASON
The Louis Moreau Institute for New Music Performance regretfully announces the cancellation of our 2021 season in response to the prominent rise in cases from the Delta variant of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the Gulf South Region and to ensure the safety of audiences, artists, and staff.
The decision follows a review of current conditions and restrictions related to the pandemic and is in accordance with the State of Louisiana and City of New Orleans’ multi-phase recovery plans as well as current safety guidelines from public health officials. LMI is committed to working with our partner venues and Institutional Artists to present our 2022 festival in March and is currently finalizing the schedule of events for the spring.
We are grateful for the dedication of our directors, Board of Trustees, musicians, and generous patrons and donors, whose support of the annual festival allows us to continue to remains committed to our mission of presenting contemporary music to our audience of supporters in New Orleans.
Audiences can remain connected with the LMI through our website and social media accounts, @louisinstitute, as we highlight selections from previous festivals in the coming months.
