For centuries New Orleans has been a center of music life. Founded in 2016, The Louis Moreau Institute is poised to bring forward-leaning New Music to the prominence that opera, rags, jazz, and other styles have enjoyed in the city's rich cultural heritage.

Each Year, the Louis Moreau Institute assembles a group of emerging world class performers -the Louies- to present concerts of new music in New Orleans
